Ogou Poll

Voting contests and reality shows, with Site Mode: your whole site becomes the contest.

Ogou Poll turns a WordPress site into a voting platform for reality shows, pageants and talent contests. Create a contest, add candidates with a photo or video, and let people vote while the leaderboard updates live.

With Site Mode, one switch gives you a complete contest website: header, hero with a live countdown, voting grid, leaderboard, footer and a branded sign-in screen, whatever your theme. The free version is on WordPress.org; Ogou Poll Pro adds paid coin voting, payment gateways, judges, rounds, VIP passes and more.

Questions and answers

What is Site Mode?

One switch that draws your whole site as a branded contest website (header, hero with live countdown, voting grid, leaderboard, footer and a branded sign-in screen), whatever your theme. Turn it off and your theme takes over again; shortcodes and blocks keep working.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Ogou Poll is free on WordPress.org; the Pro licence adds paid voting and the payment gateways.

Can I use it on several sites?

Yes. The 3-site and 10-site licences cover several sites.

Which payment methods work in Haiti?

MonCash, NatCash and Kashpaw through the Pay’M PlopPlop gateway (minimum 20 HTG), plus Stripe and PayPal. Each method is a small separate plugin that appears in the Gateways screen once installed.

How does a voter vote?

The voter opens the page, clicks Vote, signs in if needed, picks a coin package and a payment method, and pays. The coins are credited automatically, the votes are applied and the ranking updates live. One coin can give several votes (for example 1 coin = 5 votes): you decide.

A payment stays Pending. What do I do?

First check that the Return URL on the Pay’M portal is exactly https://YOURSITE.com/?ogou_paym_return=1. Then open Transactions and click Re-verify pending: the plugin asks the gateway again and credits the missing coins. If your server cannot verify the certificate, untick Verify SSL in the Pay’M settings.

Can I hide the results until the end?

Yes. Untick “Show live results” on the contest: the public sees the votes only after the contest ends (“Miss International” mode).

Can I show the ranking on a big screen?

Yes. Put the [ogou_tv] shortcode on a page: it shows a full-screen live ranking with a LIVE badge and medals for the top 3, made to be projected during the show.

Can I add many candidates at once?

Yes. Import a CSV file (name, bio, photo or video link) in Ogou Poll → Candidates. You can also reorder by drag and drop and reset a candidate's votes.
